Enhanced user experience

With new Interactive Reports, data visualization and detailed analysis are simpler than ever.

Sort results

Want to change the way your results are sorted on the report? Now you can simply click on the column you want to sort the data with and, you’re done! Genie 4.0 gives you greater control over the way you view your data and lets you enjoy the instant insights that come with having direct sorting of columns on the report.

Customise reports

Does one of your clients have special requirements that take you forever to create in your usual reports? The Genie 4.0 reports are customisable so you can save templates that can be reused over and over again. The report sections allow you to easily jump from one section to another without having to scroll through multiple pages. Customise their order and create new sections to give you added control over the way you show your data.

Instant fit check

Activity looking off? Instantly pull up the fit by clicking on the energy line in the report. No more going back through your records to find the file name associated with the report data only to find it has been archived somewhere else. Now Genie and the interactive reports will do the hard work for you so that you can be confident where your data comes from.

Increased Accuracy and Reliable Results

Correlations

Genie™ 4.0 now takes care of the extra uncertainty due to correlations in your standards. When generating your standard’s certificate file you now have four choices that give you full control over the kind of correlation that exists between the energy line of your standards:

Full - All the activities in the certificate file are fully correlated
Nuclide - Activities from the same nuclide are considered correlated
Custom - Specify the correlation between each individual energy line
None - No correlation exists within the specified energy lines

Genie will then use this information from the certificate file when calculating the uncertainties in the efficiency curves generated. Applying correlation corrections to uncertainties is now easier than ever and fully automated by Genie 4.0

The FWHM Curve

Mirion have also addressed the user request for a new FWHM calibration curve, to further enhance accuracy. Genie™ 4.0 now uses a new FWHM curve that fits data more accurately allowing the program’s automatic fits to be more accurate on the first go. Although a small difference between the legacy curve and the new, this change is welcomed by all Genie users.

Mirion know full well that users of Genie require full backward compatibility with old analyses for compliance reasons. That’s why Genie 4.0 lets the user choose between using the new FWHM fit or the the legacy model during the analysis.

Maximum Automation

Python scripting

Have you ever wanted to automate the way you analyse your spectra, but there’s only so far that Genie can take you? Well, your prayers have been answered! The new Genie 4.0 has been integrated with Python® scripting!

You can now use Genie’s powerful algorithms with the flexibility of the Python programming language. Create anything from a custom batch analysis program to a script that automatically fills in sample information according. If you have some spare time on your hands you could even try creating a new GUI for Genie…

Continuous Support and Updates

In addition to a host of new features, the release of Genie™ 4.0 software introduces flexible new licensing models. You now have the option to subscribe to the software over one-year or three-year terms with priority technical support and software updates included in the subscription period. By taking advantage of the subscriptions you can now plan your software expenditure under the Operational Expense (OpEx) budget.

If you prefer the old one time purchase model, you can still choose to buy a Genie4.0 non-expiring license upfront.
