Description

Starting out with LabSOCS and ISOCS is simpler than you might think. This webinar will provide you with the information you need to get started using Mirion’s amazing laboratory sourceless calibration software (LabSOCS). The focus of this webinar will be how create and use LabSOCS generated efficiency curves through the Geometry Composer application. Some of the many standard LabSOCS geometry templates will be used in the demonstration.

You will be shown how to model some common laboratory, and in-situ sample geometries and how to then create an efficiency curve without measuring a single source! The efficiency curves created can then be used in Genie2000 or Apex-Gamma to calculate activities of samples. This can all be achieved without the need for any calibration measurements in your lab. Say goodbye to the need for a different SRS source for every geometry!

Using a LabSOCS generated efficiency curve has the added benefit of allowing you to easily correct for summing effects without the need for complex programming using GEANT4. LabSOCS modelling and mathematical efficiency calibration process.

Coming out of this webinar you will have learned how to easily and quickly use LabSOCS to create efficiency calibrations and apply them within the Genie 2000 and Apex-Gamma software environments.
