History of the Doseman Pro by SARAD
The development of the radon daughter product dosimeter was initiated by the German Federal Office of Radiation Protection (BfS). The instrument is also qualified for the continuous measurement of radon progeny concentration.
About The Doseman Pro
SARAD has designed the Doseman Pro for ease of use and mobility as well as providing accurate dosimetry results. The internal rechargeable battery allows the Doseman Pro to run autonomously for more than 40 hours, so you can rest assured that even the longest shifts are covered by this instrument. Ease of use also means easy to maintain, that’s why SARAD have made the maintaining the Doseman Pro as easy as a simple filter replacement. At normal dust pollution and continuous operation, the filter only needs to be changed once per month!
The Doseman Pro’s Versatility
This dosimeter is not only reliable, but also versatile: combining the Doseman Pro with a radon monitor like the RTM 1688-2 offers an inexpensive system for Equilibrium Factor measurements.
The display of the radon daughter product dosimeter can be toggled between the “Potential Alpha Energy Exposure (PAEE)”, the equivalent dose and the actual concentration levels, PAEC as well as “Equilibrium Equivalent Radon Concentration (EEC)”. The dose calculation is based on a user defined dose conversion coefficients. The Doseman Pro ensures that you are aware of the changes to the radon environment by setting off an audible signal whenever measurements exceed an adjustable threshold. The threshold can be set by you so that you can make sure the Doseman Pro is always up to date with your local radon dose limit requirements.
Sturdy and Reliable
The radon daughter product dosimeter is tamper-proof giving you peace of mind.
Keep Track of Measurements
You can keep track of the location or wearer of the Doseman Pro thanks to the several programmable codes that you can assign making sure that even large organisations can stay on top of their results.
The time distribution of the radon daughter product concentration is stored in a non-volatile memory ensuring results are safe even when batteries runout. The results can be transferred to a PC by the infrared interface, which requires a special infrared adapter with USB connection.
